• The highwayman - killed by one of the Magpyr family. Living people are expected to have some blood in them. (pg 16)
• Unborn son of Mr & Mrs Ivy - cow kicked Mrs Ivy (pg 24)

Definitely died - off page (ie referred to by someone)

• Man in Spackle - hung for murdering children (pg 47)
• Old Scrivens - went peacefully in the end (pg 48)
• An artist - eaten by Magyrato (pg 150)
• Uncle Igor - died of buffaloeth (pg 217)
• The mayor - killed by vampires (pg 237)
• Mr Vlack - killed by vampires (pg 237)
• Mikhail Thwenitth - it was a tree. practically nothing left... (pg 218& 246)
• Mr Kochak - left Igor his liver. assuming he was dead first (pg 246)
• Mr & Mrs Harker - killed by the Magpyrs. they lasted nearly all week (pg 247)
• Piotr Ravi's grandmother - passed away ten years ago (pg 269)

Might have died

• Corporal Svitz - struck by Shawn Ogg with the Lancrastrian Peace-Time Army Knife, or more precisely, by the instrument for ending arguments very quickly

Death toll ?

• The pixies - Lacci has been trying to kill them. Dropping rocks on them for example. though some still live (pg 9)
• An unknown number of people burned by the Omnians
• A number of children - murdered by a man in Spackle (pg 47)
• The hosts of Myrilom - beaten by the sons of Exequial. This may have resulted in the loss of a life or two. (pg 110)
• Aunt Carmilla was said to have bathed in the blood of 200 virgins at a time. Though more than 80 virgins and even a large bath will overflow. (pg 150)
• The gong tower exploded. People around their may have died. It's been known to happen. (pg241)

• Vlad de Magpyr - vampire
• Lacrimosa de Magpyr - vampire
• The old Count Magpyr - vampire. Should have a revolving coffin lid 'cause he rose from the grave so often (pg 150). Killed by Arno Veyzen. Stake right through the heart at 20 paces (pg 270). Alison Weatherwax cut off his head and stuck a stake in his heart (pg 272).
• Count de Magpyr - vampire. Decapitated by Mightily Oats (pg 270)
• Countess de Magpyr - vampire
• Lady Strigoiul - vampire
• Hieroglyphica Strigoiul - vampire
• Maladora Krvoijac - vampire
• Graven Gierachi - vampire
• Demone - vampire
• Crimson - vampire
• Mobidia - vampire
• Aunt Carmilla - vampire. Killed by a mob (pg 150).
• A distant ancestor of the Magpyr's - possibly a vampire
• A nameless vampire - Nanny stuck a lemon in his mouth (pg 172)
• A vampire - vampire. Staked and beheaded by the villages in Escrow (pg 237) Cryptopher- vampire. Hit by holy water and burst into flames then kicked into a chasm (pg 245)
• Vargo - vampire. killed by Greebo (pg 248)
• Two vampires - staked by Igor (pg 252)
• More vampires - killed by the phoenix (pg 253-254)
• Couple more vampires - killed by holy water (pg 254-255)
• A vampire - hadn't noticed a cunning combination of a tripwire, a heavy weight and a stake (pg 258)
• A different vampire - killed by the phoenix (pg 258)
