Here we go again... (another G&S... to the tune of "A Policeman's Lot")

When across the rooftops we are found a-creeping,
When we are safely hiding in the shade,
We like to inhume victims while they're sleeping,
And hope that we are adequately paid.
We like to work with poisons quite exotic
And throwing knives is just a bit of fun.
We frown upon the one's who've turned psychotic;
An assassin's lot is quite a happy one.

When assassin's have a duty to be done, to be done,
An assassin's lot is quite a happy one.

When we're given choice of clothing to be worn
You'll always find us opting for the black,
And if we're going climbing in the morn
We'll often carry ropes across our back.
With a crossbow we are quite extraordinary
Even if we have to shoot towards the sun,
So all our targets have to be quite chary;
An assassin's lot is quite a happy one.

When assassin's have a duty to be done, to be done,
An assassin's lot is quite a happy one.
