Hi,
here're a couple of filks, totally unrelated, one being an addition to Moley's madrigal filks, and the other, being... well... not. Anyway... (warning, if you can't bear to see perfectly good songs being ripped to shreds, read no further)
This one's been knocking around for ages, but I deemed it not worthy of posting without another one to cover its lack of quality.
* Now is the Month of Cooting *
Now is the month of cooting, when Ridcully is shooting,
Fala la la la la la la lah, fala la la la la lah (REPEAT)
Out with his bonny bow, firing at every crow,
Fala... (REPEAT)
The Dean, clad all in sadness, doth moan at the Spring's gladness,
Fala... (REPEAT)
And to the ooking sound, the ape treads out the ground,
Ookty ook ook ook ook ook ook ook, Ookty ook ook ook ook ook (REPEAT)
Hide now! Ridcully's coming, his exercise proferring,
Fala... (REPEAT)
Scorpion in his bed, try choppping off his head,
Fala... (REPEAT)
Ahem... and one I've just written
* Local Geeks in the Public House *
There's no mistake, I smell that smell,
It's that time of year again,
I can taste the beer.
The quotes they fly, food's ordered,
Someone spills their drink again,
And they cry 'Ailbhe!' for the first time today.
A comfy seat, I'm sitting by
Some chocolate just been opened <munch>,
When I geek some Welsh for the first time.
And all the friends lay down the sweets,
Sit on the seats and drink for hours.
Talk of the way they posted last,
Local geeks in the public house today.
We'll always be AFP,
And the quotes run on and on,
Past the time they chuck us all out.
Baa, baa, baaaaaaaaa...[1]
There's no mistake, I smell that smell,
It's that time of week again,
I can taste the beer.
The quotes they fly, food's ordered,
Someone spills their drink again,
And they cry 'Ailbhe!' for the first time today.
And all the friends lay down the sweets,
Sit on the seats and drink for hours.
Talk of the way they posted last,
Local geeks in the public house today.
Let's geek today
I'll just get my marbles...

[1] Yes, it's actually in the song. It wasn't extraneous noise somehow finding its way into my 'puter'.
