You have been warned about sort-of spoilers for the end of CJ. Even so, there will be a short space if your newsreader software is dodgy and shows my posts anyway!

That'll do. Ladies and Gentlemen, we now present:

Old Red Eyes is Back (from the Beautiful South song of the same name)

Old Red Eyes is back
Dead from the stake still from the time before
Stalked into the wrong house, dropped to the floor

Old Red's underground
He's lying there at night he doesn't make a sound
Just adding to the wrinkles on his deathly frown

They're only red from all the stakes hammered through my head
They're only red from all the blo-od that I could've shed
So when you look into these eyes I hope you realise
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies

Listen up Young Red
You never listened to a word your father said
He told you if you get too clever you'll be dead

Old Red Eyes is back
His eyeteeth ache all over and his heart is sore
They look at him and see that his word is the law

They're only red from all the people who aren't people any more
They're only red from all the things they could've done instead
So when you look into these eyes I hope you realise
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies

Blood is the link that will never end
Red is the colour of my hell
Blood is a leader of a cow again
Red is the colour of farewell

Old Red he revived
And every single vampyre in the district cried
A sudden feeling of subserviance to his mind
A crazy beam of fear coming from each eye
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies
They could never see blue they could never see blue skies

(Note: the chorus bits need the second blue on each line to be cut short, in order to fit the skies in. So, instead of "blu-oh-oh-oh", it should be "blu-oh-oh skies". If you don't know the tune, this won't make sense, but I have successfully sung my words to the original tune, so it makes sense to me.)

OK, some of it was taken directly from the original. Just shows how neatly the song fitted my needs! Also, remember this is my first ever FILK.
